Harper Kreen is a mess, with no family or friends to guide her. It isn't necessarily her fault. Life has really kicked her rear. For years she's concealed her unique abilities that no human should have the power to contain. It isn't until one day when she's viciously attacked she has to use them to save her life. However, being almost sucked away by a soul devouring demon is only the least of Harper's problems...
In fact, the world as she knows it is about to end if she doesn't help a group of mythical misfits. The leader of said group of mythical misfits is reluctant to let a human join, one with suspicious abilities at that.
Chione has two priorities; one, save the world. Two, protect her brother. She just wants what's best for her and her sibling, both runaway monarchs, which may mean betraying her friends...
Chione doesn't plan to let a human get in her way, and Harper doesn't plan on letting an elf get in hers. There's a major butting of heads, but the real problem the human recruit and the she-elf must face is the one on the road ahead.
